Known for his powerful, live performances, WILL JACOBS is already a well-seasoned musician at just 29 years of age. No stranger to performance stages, Will honed his chops the old-fashioned way – experience. At 12 years old, he was gigging in Chicago clubs playing alongside many of the city's finest blues men and women ....at the same time playing in a Grammy-winning, high school jazz band. In 2009, he attracted local and international attention when his first band (Dirty Deal) performed at the International Blues Showcase in Memphis, Tennessee after winning the Chicago Blues Challenge-youth division competition. Will & the band left their mark because of Will’s mature improvisational skills and vocal talents, coupled with a strong, blues-infused sound. These experiences led him to further study at Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA), gigging & session work in Chicago, touring with CJ Chenier (Crown Prince of Zydeco) and a performance residency in Sri Lanka.
In mid 2016, he made the jump across the pond to Europe, began performing and sharing his dynamic playing skills in clubs in and around Berlin, Germany. Teaming up with Hohner Harmonica endorsed artist Marcos Coll, they collaborated on a CD (Takin' Our Time) and hit festival stages in Germany, Poland, Spain & France. Whether performing with his own band, gigging with other world-class musicians, songwriting or session work, Will is excited to share his lifelong passion for music
