Blue Swamp are well seasoned band with a wealth of musical experience behind them featuring…
John Williamson from 'The Animals' … and Mike Bowden from 'Dr Truth'.
More recently they expanded the duo into a Trio with Big Vern on percussion making its mark at 'The Great British Folk Festival Skegness' in December 2012 and 'Rock ‘n’ Blues Weekend' in January 2013 also 'The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival Colne' and 'Carlisle Blues Festival' as 'The Bowden and Williamson band'.
They are touring this year as Johnny Guitar Williamsons 'Blue Swamp Band' with Jim Mosely on Bass.
The two are long time friends who have a special chemistry on stage.
They play exceptionally well together and mix wonderful musicianship with warm humour and wicked wit.
John Williamson has a very impressive and enviable history having played with many greats, such as Steve Cropper (Booker T & The MG's) Spencer Davis, Chris Farlow and Mick Green (Van Morrison, Brian Ferry)Jerry Donahue.
During his distinguished career, he has opened for Rory Gallagher, Robert Plant, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Deep Purple,Cream, Jethro Tull, Jools Holland and more recently Tony Joe White.
He was a member of Goliath, Skeleton Crew and, at the time of their chart success Norwegian band Titanic whose single 'Sultana' reached no 1 in 7 countries. For the last 12 years he has been touring with 'The Animals & friends' and recently decided to take time out to concentrate on his work with Mike.
They've already had a busy touring schedule, with several shows in France, Italy & Sweden and a growing number of festivals across the UK.
2015 will see them touring Germany.
